PLEASE BE AWARE that during these unprecedented times all around the world, shipping times may be longer than usual. I thank you in advance for your understanding that once the items leave my studio and are in the hands of the delivery agent, I have no control.
Unfortunately at this time I am unable to ship to mainland Europe due to the extra costs involved after Brexit.
The time I need to prepare an order for shipping varies. For details, see individual items.

I’ll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but can’t guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose.
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs.
Returns & exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges and cancellations, just contact me within 7 days of delivery and ship items back to me within 14 days of delivery.
The following items can’t be returned or exchanged.
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can’t accept returns for:
Custom or personalised orders
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Items on sale
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

These Terms and Conditions explain the rights you as a customer are entitled to. Please read these very carefully. You may have other rights granted by law and our Terms and Conditions do not affect these in any way.
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with The Black Orchard. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. They are in compliance with EU Law, Rules and Regulations.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods you must be at least 18 years of age. All transactions are subject to UK & EU Law. Non-UK buyers please note that all transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with with UK law.
Estimated Shipping Times UK
UK Destinations Shipping.
ALL items posted to UK addresses will be sent ‘1st Class Signed For’ through Royal Mail. These items are usually delivered within 1-2 days of postage.
Turnaround times are stated on each individual item.
It is your responsibility to ensure that I am provided with a full, correct postal address that includes postcode.
Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery (1st Class Signed for) or 5 working days (Special Delivery), this is the timescale the carrier allows before the item is considered lost.
Estimated Shipping Times Non-UK, International.
Items will be sent via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed or Royal Mail Signed for dependent upon the Country.
You can typically expect delivery within 5-7 working days.
Please allow up to 25 working days for delivery (as sometimes items get held in customs!) – this is the timescale the carrier allows before declaring an item lost.
In any event, if you are concerned that your item has not yet arrived please contact me.
Custom and Import Tax
Please note that local charges (sales tax, customs duty) may occur and, depending on your region, local customs duties.

Customs paperwork is completed by me with a true sales value and items will be correctly identified and not marked as a gift.
Returns and Exchanges-General-Wrong Address Provided by Customer
My standard cancellation period prior to dispatch is 24hrs as after this time I would expect to have started making your order.
It is your responsibility as the buyer to ensure that the correct postal address is provided. If you realize you have made a mistake please send me a message and as long has your item has not shipped I will be able to amend the order. If you tell me after the item has shipped I will not provide either a replacement or refund. Should the item be returned to me I will resend if you pay the additional postage costs.
I will request that the item is returned to me in its original condition.
Goods are to be returned at the customers cost.
For UK and EU orders a full refund excluding outward postage will be issued. In the event you have purchased express shipping only standard shipping costs will be returned to you.
All other countries – A refund minus the original postage costs will be refunded.
I will then issue a full refund within 14 days of receipt of the return or within 14 days of evidence of return.
Returns and Exchanges – Order has been dispatched – Customer has deemed item to be faulty/unfit for purpose
I take great care making and packaging my items but please inform me as soon as possible if you are unhappy with your purchase or if it has been damaged in transit.
I may request photographs of the packaging and the item or request for items and packaging to be returned to me at my cost.
I will be happy to refund or replace faulty items within 30 days of delivery.
A Note on Handmade/Hand tooled Items
Hand tooling into leather involves tracing the design, cutting the outline with a swivel knife and then hammering the bevel tool into the surface to achieve an embossed finish. As all designs are tooled freehand and not using a stamp there will be variation between finished items and the photograph shown either on my website or in the shop listing. Leather is a natural material and each hide takes tooling and dyeing differently so the finished colour and texture of the leather is also subject to variation.
Vegetable tanned leather which is used when tooling/embossing will have some surface marks and grain and this gives each piece a unique finish. I use these characteristics to my advantage to create original items and consider them a beautiful part of the charm of working with leather.
Custom and personalised orders
If you have ordered a customised piece, you will be responsible for ensuring that the wording requested is correct. You will be responsible for grammar, punctuation, spelling etc. I tool/emboss exactly what you have asked for. Customised, personalised orders are non-returnable unless faulty.
Description of Goods
All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on the site is, as accurate a description of the goods, that is possible within a website. Monitors vary and colours may appear slightly different. Photos may be those of the stock or examples of what is available, therefore may not be an exact indication of the item you will be receiving. Because the items are hand stamped there may well be slight variations but these will be minor.
